We'll look for warblers, thrushes, hawks, herons, and the famous Monk Parakeets that nest right in the spires of the main gate. No birding experience needed — just bring your curiosity and comfortable shoes.

Join us for a hands-on spoon carving workshop where you'll learn to shape a functional wooden spoon from raw NYC wood - start to finish, by hand. No power tools. No experience needed. Just a knife, a blank, and a few hours of focused, quiet work.

What's included:

• All tools provided - carving knives, gouges, and cutting gloves

• A wood blank foraged from NYC tree trimmings (you'll learn the species and where it came from)

• Step-by-step instruction from blank to finished spoon

• Sandpaper and food-safe oil to finish your piece
